What is WordPress and How to install wordpress on localhost

Hello viewers, Today we will learn about WordPress, Do you ever thought to create a website but your mind told you that I don’t have any technical knowledge so how I would be able to create a website. No worries, WordPress is open-source software and a content management system, a person with no technical background can easily create a simple and stunning website by following certain steps. 

Do You know nearly 75 million sites in the world that use WordPress according to the WordCamp site report.

WordPress was started back in  2003 as a blogging platform soon it was converted to the content management system.

WordPress is written in PHP language.

How to install WordPress on your Computer


1>Local Server:-

    If you have:-

  Window –  you can use Wamp, Xampp.

  Mac   –  you can use Mamp

  Linux– you can use a lamp

2>Wordpress files:- you can have WordPress files from their official website WordPress.

Steps to follow

1>Go to their official website WordPress  download the required files

2> Go to google, search for local server for mac ( Search local server based on your system compatibility).

 I am using mac system so I am using mamp , you can download mamp from there official website Mamp.

 After downloading both files.

3> Open the Mamp file, and install it.

4> After installing  Mamp , open mamp application

5> After that  Go to the mac finder, click on applications and there you have to  click on the mamp folder.



6> After that click on the htdocs , place the  WordPress folder which you have downloaded, and unzip it.


7> Then go any browser .

8> Click on the let’s go

9> you have to  fill up details and for a database name to have first  create database  from http://localhost:8888/phpmyadmin/


10>After clicking on create button again go back to the WordPress installation page click on the submit button follow the steps and install WordPress.

Finally, you will see a WordPress dashboard.
